Land plot acquisition advances the construction of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) facility in Proletarskij District, Donetsk, Ukraine.
On November 29, 2011 EcoEnergy Scandinavia participated in the Solid Waste Management PPP Workshop, that was organized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and SECO and took place in Kyiv.
In May 2011 EcoEnergy Scandinavia sent 25 000 letters to the residents of the Proletarskii District in Donetsk within a framework of public consultations. On November 2, 2011, EcoEnergy Scandinavia has taken part in the International Energy Forum in Zaporozhye, Ukraine. The forum had about 200 participants from 11 regions of Ukraine, Russia, Korea, UK, Sweden, Austria and Germany.

On 23-24 of June, 2011 the company EcoEnergy Scandinavia took part in the International Environmental Forum “ECOLOGY OF INDUSTRIAL REGION”, within the scope of which also took place the International Conference “ECOLOGY OF INDUSTRIAL REGION” and International Specialized Exhibition “ECOLOGY-2011”.
On June 2-3, 2011. in Berdyansk, the 3rd Ukrainian Seminar on Municipal Solid Waste Treatment 'Sanochistka 2011' was conducted. Constructive debate, sharing of experience, presenting know-hows in the sphere - these were the three pillars on which the conference was based.
The Feasibility Study for the WtE-plant in Donetsk was approved by Ukrainian State Building Expertize. At the moment, this project developed by EcoEnergy Scandinavia is the first in Ukraine who has reached this stage. It will introduce the first plant of its kind in Ukrainian industry for municipal solid waste recycling.
During 31.05.2011 – 01.06.2011 in Kiev at the hotel «InterContinental» EUEA will conduct the II European-Ukrainian Energy Day. In 2010, this event, although having been conducted for the first time, had brought together over 300 participants from more than 10 countries. This year EcoEnergy Scandinavia AB will make a presentation on constructing a WtE-plant (a waste-to-energy plant that produces energy and heat from municipal solid waste) in Donetsk.
The Swedish company EcoEnergy Scandinavia AB today signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the development, financing, construction and operation of a 100 MW Waste-to-Energy (WTE) facility in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine. The facility will process approximately 500 thousand tons of Municipal Household Waste (MSW) and generate district heat and electricity.
