EcoEnergy Donetsk completed the acquisition of land plot in Donetsk

Land plot acquisition advances the construction of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) facility in Proletarskij District, Donetsk, Ukraine.

December, 2011 - EcoEnergy Donetsk, the developer of the first state of the art WtE facility in Ukraine, has completed the acquisition of the land plot in the Proletarskij district, Donetsk.

On December 19, 2011, EcoEnergy Donetsk signed a land plot sale and purchase agreement with the Donetsk City Council, following the decision on land plot sale made by the Council on July 22, 2011.

EcoEnergy Donetsk acquired the land plot for the construction and operation of 100MW WtE facility. Land acquisition is one of the crucial stages in the WtE project development after the approval of feasibility study by the Ukrainian State Building Expertise.

Today EcoEnergy Donetsk, together with its partners, is working on the preparation of the Stage P project documentation in order to apply for the Ukrainian State Building Expertise.

EcoEnergy develops the WtE facility in Donetsk that will handle municipal solid waste amounting to approximately 470 000 tons per year. The WtE facility will produce electricity as well as heat and warm water, which will cover the major part of the Proletarskij district’s heating consumption.
